Like a shooting star on this year’s first night of summer
You flashed by me

Do you have any idea what that did to me?

Did you feel my pulse race?

Did you see the smile on my face?

Do you know what hope and longing was felt in the mere fleeting glance of you?

I saw you
Just like this life –
To flash before these love-sick eyes
A god out of reach
