We Are All These People

We are all ordinary. We are all boring. We are all spectacular. We are all shy. We are all bold. We are all heroes. We are all helpless. It just depends on the day.

We are all that!  We live so many lives. We are so many people all rolled into one.

On my 60th birthday I went through all 6 decades of my life, reviewing each one – who I was with, what my focus was, how I survived, what I thought, etc. I realized that those six girls (women) were small fractions of me today – each one distinctively her own.

Year to year, decade to decade, we build upon our lives from the actions we take and the things that “happen” to us. We reflect the environments we find ourselves in. We change and grow, take new roads based on what we want at the time, make turns and take detours –  some planned and many unexpected.  This is life. It is what we do. We don’t always get what we want, yet we expect to succeed. We want to witness and enjoy the fruit of our lives, and make sense of the losses. This is what creates ALL. THESE. PEOPLE… wonderful and spellbinding as you, we, all are!
